The drama is based off Lucy Maud Montgomery's novels Anne of Green Gables, published in 1908. Amybeth McNulty was born on 7 November 2001 in Milford, County Donegal, Ireland she was the sole child born to an Irish father as well as mother who is a Canadian mother. Amybeth is an Irish woman. She will become twenty-one. She was raised on the island of Donegal in Ireland. She holds dual citizenship with Canada and Ireland. The blonde is her birthmark. Anne was also in a tense connection and a complicated relationship with Gilbert Blythe who was two years older than Anne but studying at her degree after his studies were interrupted when his father became sick. On their first meeting in school, Gilbert joked with Anne with the nickname Carrots.
